Why a mango tree?
Mango trees are very durable, some trees still bear fruit after 300 years.
Under good conditions, a mango tree produces up to 600 fruits per year. A fresh mango contains a variety of nutrients and vitamins and is a popular fruit in local markets.
A full-grown mango tree has roots down to a depth of 6 meters, helping to prevent soil erosion and protect watersheds.
